Vases

Currently a little busy on a big side project but instead, enjoy these vases I made for a friend. Reasonable sized, printed with sustainable PLA!

However, sustainable PLA has to be taken with a grain of salt. Due to it's compostable properties, PLA has been seen as one of the better printing materials from an ecological point of view. This process needs to be monitored and will not happen in the recycling bin in your backyard. Temperature and humidity are some of the many conditions that need to be monitored to compost PLA. This means PLA is only compostable in industrial composting processes and thus not completely 'compostable' in my opinion.

On the other hand, production of PLA is entirely based on renewable resources (condensation of lactic acid) and has grown to be the most widely used bioplastic in the world. Furthermore, the spools holding the printing wire during the printing process, are made from carton instead of plastic to reduce the waste on spool of PLA.
